Bordoibam Bilmukh Bird Sanctuary is located at a magnificent locale that overlooks a breathtaking fresh green backdrop. The forthcoming sanctuary is moored at an elevation of approximately 50-55 m above men sea level. The region encompassing Bordoibam was formed after a massive earthquake that occurred in the year 1950 and shook the entire state. The tremors were so pronounced that it prompted the Subansiri River to change its course and that lead to the eventual formation of Bordoibam.
Flora and Fauna: Bordoibum Beelmukh Bird Sanctuary’s proposed site is indeed a haven for tourists. In fact several aquatic birds like adjutant storks and fishing eagles flock to its inviting premises to seek refuge amidst its cozy sanctum during the freezing Siberian, Tibetan and European winters.
