East Karbi Anglong Wildlife Sanctuary, treasure trove of Assam’s natural heritage encompasses a net area of 221.81 sq. km and is strategically located to facilitate tourism and accessibility to the state.

East Karbi Anglong Wildlife Sanctuary houses several species of birds dappled in a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors. Many of the birds migrate from Tibet, China, Europe and Siberia during their freezing winters. The birds usually arrive in early November and leave by February while some prefer to make a permanent halting and hatch their fledglings.
